About Us

For those who have visited the site before, we closed our retail needlework shop on the Outer Banks in June 2006, and now focus on web sales of our own designs.  There are still a few products from other designers available on our site as we sell out our final inventory--click Close-Out Specials on the left of the page.

 Our retail shop on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in Kill Devil Hills began as The Yarn Corner in 1989, and in 1998 changed to Corner Stitch & Frame.  In 2006 the retail shop closed and Kathy Morrison, the owner, is now focusing on her line of "Corner Stitch Designs" which has greatly expanded since her first designs in 1994.   The charts and kits are featured here, but also at many historic site gift shops up and down the east coast of the United States, particularly National Park Service lighthouse shops and Colonial period and Civil War sites.
